Notes:

Daniel Schaefer (W/M, D.O.B. 06/30/1977) was shot on December 28, 2012, while in the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive, during the course of a robbery. The victim died from his injuries on November 24, 2022. The case was ruled as a homicide and added to the homicide count as of May 9, 2023.

On February 4, 2013, Laquan Ferome (D.O.B. 07/17/1989) was arrested and charged with attempted 1st degree murder, in this case.

Detectives are currently working with the States Attorney’s Office, to determine if new charges will be filed.

On November 24, 2022, Daniel Schaefer died following a lengthy illness. Schaefer's body was taken to the Medical Examiner's office where the death has been ruled as a homicide.
