A second victim, 46-year-old Kimberly Benjamin, was located at the intersection of McHenry Street and South Carey Street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Medics transported both victims to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Despite lifesaving measures, hospital staff pronounced victim Kimberly Benjamin deceased on June 7, 2023.
