On March 24, 2021, officers responded to the 1700 block of Harford Avenue where Brown was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy later determined Brown died as the result of being shot in the head in the 1900 block of N. Wolfe Street on December 30, 2009. Homicide detectives were notified on May 27, 2022.
